The work package one pager explained

Every field on the One Pager explained: status, weekly progress, targets, KPIs and measures.

The One Pager is your central execution hub for managing a work package. It consolidates everything needed to steer a work package effectively - current progress, defined targets, key KPIs, and all active measures in a single, structured view. The goal is to give every team member and stakeholder an instant, reliable picture of where things stand, what is being tracked, and where action is needed. No scattered updates, no manual consolidation - just one clear view that enables faster decisions and earlier escalation.

At the top of the screen, you can navigate between reporting weeks using the Last, Current, and Next controls in the upper right corner. This lets you review past updates or prepare the upcoming report without leaving the One Pager. You can also see when the next report is due and send it directly from this view.

Work Package Status

Every work package carries a RAG status - a traffic light indicator set manually by leads (Work Package Leads, Project Leads and Consultants). It gives every stakeholder an instant read on the overall health of the work package at a glance:

  • Green - On Track - everything is progressing as planned, no intervention required

  • Yellow - Deviated, Counter Measure Defined - a deviation exists, but a counter measure is defined and in progress

  • Red - Deviated, No Counter Measure Defined - a deviation exists with no counter measure in place, immediate attention required

The RAG status is the fastest signal available on the One Pager. It tells stakeholders whether a work package needs their attention before they read a single line of the progress update.

Weekly Progress

The Weekly Progress field captures what has been achieved within the current reporting week. This is not a summary of the entire work package history - it is a focused, factual update on this week's developments: what moved forward, what was completed, and where blockers have emerged.

To update the progress, click Update Progress in the top right of the section and enter your update directly. Keep it specific and actionable. This is the first field stakeholders read, so a clear and concise entry reduces the need for follow-up questions and accelerates decision-making at the leadership level.

If you prefer a hands-off approach, toggle on Auto update to let AI generate the weekly progress automatically - based on live project data, no manual input required. Both options are available, so your team can choose the workflow that fits best.

Targets

On the right side of the One Pager, you will find the Targets section. Targets define the objectives this work package is working toward. They represent the shared definition of done - once all targets are achieved, the work package is ready for sign-off.

Targets are organized across three tabs: All, Open, and Completed. This makes it easy to track which objectives are still active and which have already been reached.

To add a new target, click + Add target and fill in the following fields:

  • Target - a clear description of what needs to be achieved

  • Function - the direction of the target: Reduce or Multiply

  • Target value - the measurable value that defines success, together with its value type (e.g. a percentage or an absolute number)

  • Category - the category used to classify and group the target (e.g. Scrap, Coverage, PPM)

  • Due date - the deadline by which the target should be reached

  • Comment (optional) - additional context or background where helpful

Please note: targets are usually defined by the Project Lead, but Work Package Leads and Consultants can create and edit them in elyvate as well. Coordinate changes with your Project Lead to keep the work package scope aligned.

Top KPIs

In the middle section of the One Pager, you will find the Top KPIs. KPIs make the performance of a work package measurable and visible over time. They translate targets into concrete, trackable indicators - and make it immediately clear whether the work package is developing as planned or requires intervention. Without KPIs, progress becomes a matter of interpretation rather than fact.

KPIs are displayed as charts directly on the One Pager, showing actual values plotted against the defined target over calendar weeks. You can toggle between Small and Large display sizes to adjust the level of detail visible at a glance.

KPIs can also drive the overall work package status - so the health of the work package is always grounded in real data, not manual assessment. Each KPI maintains its own activity history, logging all created, updated, status, and comment changes over time. This gives your team full traceability on how a KPI has developed and who made which changes.

To add a new KPI, click + Create KPI on the right side of the section. For a full walkthrough of how to create, configure, and manage KPIs, see What is a KPI in elyvate? and Create KPIs.

Measures

At the bottom of the One Pager, you will find the Measures list. This is where all tasks within the work package are tracked from problem identification through to resolution. Each measure contains:

  • Status - a color-coded indicator reflecting the current state of the measure. Available statuses include: Not Started, In Progress, Off Track, Need Support, Escalated, and Completed - your project may use customized statuses configured in Project Details → Settings. For a full explanation of each status, see Measure statuses.

  • Title - a clear description of the issue being addressed

  • Description - background context, current situation, and the countermeasure being taken

  • Due date - the target completion date, with a live countdown showing days remaining or days overdue

  • Responsible - up to two owners can be assigned per measure, ensuring clear accountability even across shared responsibilities

  • Attachments and links - supporting files and URLs can be added directly to a measure, keeping all relevant documentation in one place

Every measure maintains its own activity history - logging all status changes, edits, attachments, and links over time. This makes each measure fully auditable and gives your team complete traceability on how a task has progressed and who took which action.

At the top of the section, a Success % indicator shows the overall completion rate across all measures in the work package - giving you an instant health check without needing to scroll through every item.

To add a new measure, click + Create measures in the top right of the section.

The Measures list is where execution becomes visible. Problems and countermeasures are documented in one place, ownership is unambiguous, and overdue items are immediately flagged - so nothing slips through the cracks and escalation happens before deadlines are missed.

Best practices for filling out the One Pager

  • Update progress every week - a timely, specific progress entry keeps the team aligned and eliminates the need for separate status updates

  • Define targets before work begins - clear targets set expectations early and give the team an unambiguous definition of success

  • Add KPIs as early as possible - the sooner KPIs are in place, the sooner deviations become visible and addressable

  • Assign an owner to every measure - unassigned measures are unmanaged measures; clear ownership drives accountability

  • Use the Description field on measures - brief context on the problem and countermeasure reduces back-and-forth and keeps everyone on the same page

  • Keep the RAG status honest - an accurate status signal helps leadership prioritize support where it is truly needed
