Every reporting cycle, each Work Package Lead turns their work package into a one pager report and submits it to the Project Lead. The report wizard does the assembling: you choose what goes in, and a live preview shows the one pager exactly as leadership will see it (see How reporting works in elyvate for the full cycle).
Starting a report
Open your work package and click Send at the top of the One Pager, where you can also see when the next report is due. A window opens to submit your report to the Project Lead:
No report yet this cycle: click Make report to open the wizard
Report already created and the cycle still open: you'll see Edit report and Preview instead, so you can keep refining until the cycle closes
You can fill in the highlights, next steps and roadblocks right here, or leave them for the end. From the second report onwards, Retrieve last content pulls them in from your previous report as a starting point.
The wizard at a glance
The wizard mirrors your one pager with four sections: Progress of the week, Measures, KPIs and Targets. On the right, a live preview updates with every choice you make, traffic light included, and you can zoom in and out. The management report date, when the report is due, is shown in the wizard.
Progress of the week
Write the update directly, or let AI do the first pass: Draft writes the progress from your live project data when the field is empty, Update refreshes it when content already exists. You can always click in and edit the text yourself.
Measures
Select the measures that should appear on the one pager. You can search, pick manually, or use the AI suggestions for this cycle. If you select more measures than the page fits, a banner appears: click Configure and choose how to resolve it:
Make it fit: AI condenses your selection, combining measures where needed, so everything fits
Remove: the measures you selected last are dropped until the rest fit
Changed your mind? Click Change and pick the other option.
KPIs
Two toggles here:
Top KPIs: your work package's starred KPIs, ready to select. Up to four fit on a page, and you can add more pages through the KPI deep dive
KPI deep dive: create additional slides. Click New, choose which KPIs go on the slide, add a description, and show or hide the slide details
Targets
Toggle Show all targets to include everything, or toggle it off and select exactly which targets make the report.
Confirming and submitting
You can confirm at any point, but if you haven't been through all four sections, elyvate checks first: a window shows the preview and asks whether you're sure, with the option to go back. Once you're through, you can Preview the finished one pager or Edit it once more, complete the highlights, next steps and roadblocks if you left them for the end, and click Confirm.
That's it: the Project Lead receives an email with a link to your report, and your part of the cycle is done. Until the cycle closes, you can still come back and edit.
