How to remove someone from a project or work package, and what happens to their work when you do.
Who can remove whom
A Project Lead can remove a member at project level
A Work Package Lead can remove a member from their work package
If someone needs to be removed from elyvate entirely, for example when they leave the company, reach out to your Project Lead.
What happens to their measures
Removed users are automatically taken off their measures:
If a measure was assigned to them alone, it becomes unassigned
If a measure was assigned to two people, the removed person is taken off and the other assignee keeps the measure
Nothing is deleted: the measures stay on the board, ready to be reassigned. And removal doesn't have to be forever, a removed person can always be invited again later.
Removal vs. deactivation
Removal takes someone off a project or work package deliberately. Deactivation happens automatically after 90 days without a login and preserves all assignments (see User deactivation).
