Log in with SSO

Log in with your Microsoft or Google work account - how SSO works and the step-by-step flow.

What is Single Sign-On (SSO)?

Single Sign-On (SSO) lets you log in to elyvate using an existing account from your company's identity provider - such as Microsoft or Google - instead of a separate password.

SSO is managed by your organization's IT department, not by elyvate. This means your company keeps full control over access and security.

Important: SSO is only available if your organization's IT and security policies support it. It cannot be enabled on an individual basis.

How SSO works

Before you can log in with SSO, your organization must enable it for elyvate.

Once enabled, your existing elyvate account is automatically linked to your SSO identity based on your email address. All your data, projects, and permissions stay exactly as they were - nothing changes on your end.

If your company uses Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), you will typically be redirected to Microsoft login automatically. Google SSO follows the same principle if enabled by your organization.

Log in with SSO - step by step

  1. Go to the elyvate login page

  2. Select "Microsoft (SSO)" - or Google, if enabled by your organization

  3. Complete sign-in with your identity provider

  4. If no active session exists on your device, you will be redirected to your provider's login screen

  5. Once authenticated, you are logged in to elyvate

Note: After SSO is enabled, you may no longer be able to log in with your previous password. This is expected behavior and part of the security upgrade.

Key facts at a glance

  • No new account needed - your existing elyvate account is linked automatically

  • All data, projects, and permissions remain unchanged

  • SSO must be approved by your organization - it cannot be activated individually

  • If your company does not support SSO, email and password login continues to work as usual

Trouble signing in, or SSO not enabled yet?

See Common login issues - it covers the usual Microsoft SSO fixes and includes a ready-made email template for asking your IT team to approve elyvate.
