Change password and personal info as an SSO user

What SSO users manage in elyvate versus what their identity provider controls.

For SSO users, elyvate never stores your password: sign-in is handled by your identity provider. Here's what that means for managing your account.

Changing your password

Your password belongs to your identity provider (Microsoft or Google), not to elyvate. To change it, use your provider's normal password process or contact your IT department. There's no password to manage inside elyvate.

The same goes for multi-factor authentication: it's handled by your identity provider.

Updating your personal information

Everything that isn't your login is managed in elyvate. Open User Settings from your profile menu to update your name, profile image, job title and department.

Changing your email address

Your email address is the link between elyvate and your SSO identity, so it can't be changed like other details. If your email address changes, reach out to [email protected].
