Update personal and account settings

Manage your profile, password and multi-factor authentication as a non-SSO user.

If you sign in with an email and password, everything about your account lives in elyvate: your details, your password and your extra layer of security.

Update your personal information

Open User Settings from your profile menu to update your name, profile image, job title and department. Your email address is tied to your account and can't be changed from settings.

Change your password

To set a new password, use Forgot password? on the login page: enter your email, follow the link you receive, and choose a new password of at least 8 characters with letters, numbers and symbols.

Add multi-factor authentication

You can add multi-factor authentication (MFA) to your account for an extra layer of protection at sign-in. Set it up in about a minute:

  • Go to User Settings → Security and choose your method

  • Verify with a one-time code sent to your email, or an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Auth0 Guardian

MFA is optional today and will become required for non-SSO sign-ins in a future update, so we recommend turning it on early. Nothing changes for your projects, workspaces or data.

Signing in with SSO instead?

Your password and MFA are handled by your identity provider (see Change password and personal info as an SSO user).
