Create and assign a work package

This article is intended for project leads and consultants who use elyvate to set up your project and explains how to create a new work package inside an existing taskforce, including setting up the essential details and assigning team members.

Step 1: Navigate to Project Dashboard

Access your project space to get an overview of all task forces and keep your work in one clear starting point.

  1. Log into your elyvate account

  2. Select the taskforce where you want to add the work package

  3. Navigate to the project dashboard view


Step: 2 Create a New Work Package

Create a dedicated work package to structure your project and define a clear scope for each focus area.

  1. Access the setup window by clicking the "New" button at the top of the page

  2. Enter the work package number

  3. Select the work package type from predefined categories (or select "Other" for custom types)

  4. Name your work package (e.g., "Procurement")


Step 3: Assign Work Package Leader and Team Members

Define responsibilities by assigning a work package lead and team members β€” creating transparency and clear accountability.

  • Select a work package leader from the dropdown menu

  • Add additional users who need access to this work package

Only colleagues already invited to the project will appear in the dropdown.


Step 4: Finalize and Manage

Finalize your setup to turn planning into action β€” define goals, track KPIs, and keep your work packages up to date as progress unfolds.

  • Click "Create" to finalize the work package

  • Define targets, KPIs, and initial measures

  • Update progress as work continues
