Overview of the four possible user roles in elyvate
1. Contributor Role
Default role with limited access to assigned work packages:
Only sees work packages they are explicitly assigned to
Can update specific measures or KPIs they are responsible for
Cannot modify work package structure or change traffic light status
Has limited editing capabilities within their assigned areas
2. Work Package Lead
Responsible for managing specific work packages and has full control over them:
Manually assigned when a work package is created or updated
Can edit all entries within their work package
Able to assign contributors to their work package
Can update progress and adjust traffic light status
Responsible for compiling and submitting the work package report
No visibility into work packages outside of their own
3. Project Lead
Overall responsibility for the entire task force:
Full visibility over all work packages within a task force
Complete editing rights across all projects
Can add or remove users and assign roles
Able to modify all entries and traffic light statuses
Generate and modify reports across all areas
Responsible for preparing and triggering the consolidated task force report
4. Consultant Role
Support role, typically from the project delivery side, with cross-project visibility:
Must be invited to a task force before being able to assign themselves to specific work packages
Access to all work packages across the task force
Can support multiple projects simultaneously
Helps manage user access and set up work packages
Facilitates reporting across projects
5. Assign and Edit User Permissions
User roles can be assigned during work package setup
User roles can also be updated later in the settings menu
