The Board is your central place for planning and tracking all measures across a project. It gives every team member a clear, real-time picture of what needs to be done, who owns it, and where things stand - without switching between tools or views.
How the board connects to your project
The Board lives inside the Plan section of your project. It automatically displays all active measures that have been defined across your work packages - no manual import needed. Completed measures are hidden by default but can be shown via the View settings. Archived measures are not shown in active views. Whenever a measure is updated in a work package, the board reflects that change instantly. The same applies in reverse: any edit you make directly on the board is automatically saved back to the corresponding work package.
This two-way sync means the board and your work packages always stay aligned - one source of truth for the entire team.
Reading the board
By default, measures are arranged in rows by work package and grouped into columns by status. This layout lets you see at a glance how each work package is progressing across different stages. Each card represents a single measure and shows key information such as the title, assignee, due date, and status. Click on any card to open it and view or edit the full details.
The board can be displayed in three different views, each changing how columns are organized:
Status view - columns represent status stages, giving you a clear picture of where each measure stands
Calendar Week view - columns represent calendar weeks based on each measure's due date, useful for deadline planning and workload tracking. Measures without a due date appear in a separate Backlog grouping
List view - a consolidated, scrollable list of all measures with no columns, ideal for a fast full-project overview or bulk actions
For a full explanation of each view, see Board views - Calendar Week, Status and List.
Adding a measure directly on the board
You can create new measures without leaving the board. Click "Create measure" and a form opens. Start by selecting the relevant work package, then fill in:
Measure title
Description
Status
Due date
Assignee
Just like in the measure drawer, you can also add attachments or links directly from this form. You can also mark the measure as a Top Measure - it will then be flagged as a priority across the board. Once saved, the new measure appears automatically both on the board and inside the corresponding work package. No extra steps needed.
Moving measures
In the Status view, you can change the status of a measure by clicking and holding the card, dragging it to the target column, and releasing. The status update is applied immediately and synced back to the work package in real time. Note that in the Calendar Week view, dragging a card changes its due date instead. Dragging requires edit rights - Guests cannot move cards. If your project uses the escalation flow, each due date change counts toward the measure's escalation limit - and once a measure is Escalated, only Work Package Leads, Project Leads and Consultants can move it (see Escalation flow).
Filtering, sorting, and views
The board offers a range of filter, sort, and view options to focus on what matters most to you. For a full overview of all available options, see Board: Customising your board and Board: Filters and views.
