Board: Filters and views

Filter, sort and focus the board on what matters to you - all personal, never shared.

The Board's filter and view options let you cut through the noise and focus on exactly what is relevant to you. These features are personal - your filter and view settings are only visible to you and do not affect what your teammates see.

Available filters

Click Filter on the Board to narrow it down:

  • Work package - show measures from one or several specific work packages

  • Status - display only measures at a certain stage

  • Columns - choose which columns show, such as Backlog, Overdue, Saturday and Sunday, Escalated and Done

  • Degree of Implementation - if your project has it turned on, filter by level. "Undefined" shows measures with no level set yet

  • Top Measures - show only measures flagged as priorities

  • User filter ("Show only") - display measures assigned to a specific team member

  • Search - enter a keyword to show only measures containing that term

Filters can be combined. For example, you can filter by a specific work package and a specific user at the same time to see exactly what one person is responsible for in that area.

Empty columns hide automatically

When a filter is active, columns that contain no matching measures are hidden automatically. This keeps the board clean and avoids empty, distracting columns - especially useful in large projects where only a subset of statuses is relevant for a given filter combination.

Sorting

Independently of filters, you can sort measures by:

  • Last updated

  • Due date

  • Custom order

Sorting applies across all visible measures and helps you prioritise what to look at first.

Saving your view

Your current view - including the selected board layout (Status, Calendar Week, or List) - is saved automatically. The next time you open the board, it opens in the same view you last used. Filter settings are personal and only visible to you, and they stay until you change them.

In Plan, the Calendar, Status and List views live together, one click apart. If you prefer to work in Plan, pick Plan and elyvate opens on it every time you log in, until you switch back.
